UiTM AutoMech Drift Session 2009, UiTM
Padang Kawad, Shah Alam, 22 February 2009 - In conjunction with the
UITM Automech 2009, Feinto D and Sync Optima were commissioned by the
Mechanical Engineering faculty to organise and manage their drift
session held at the Padang Kawad in their Shah Alam campus ground. With
over 60 drifters participating, the drift action was non stop till the
end of the day!!
Perak Super Series Drift Battle Practice
& Open Day, Dato' Sagor Circuit, Kampung Gajah, Perak, 10-11 January
2009 - To lessen the blow of the cancellation of the PPS Drift
Battle, it was decided that an open drift day were to be organised along
with a small competition. Tengku Djan volunteered to judge the event.
Anyway, everyone had fun and that matters the most!! Photo coverage

Malaysian Drift Challenge Round 2-
Speedway Plus Circuit, 20-21 December 2008 - Round 2 and the final
round of the Malaysian Drift Challenge for the year 2008 had some of the
most thrilling tsusio battle that we had ever witnessed. Close door to
door action were performed by those qualified to the top sixteen. Most
notably between Mervyn Mohd. (Federal) and eventual third place winner ,
Johan Norman (Goodyear) which resulted in three 'sudden deaths'. Finally
the win was awarded to Johan with a slight advantage over Mervyn. NEW!
Jebat Drift King Challenge - Stadium Hang
Jebat, Melaka, 13-14 December 2008 - When I was informed by
Persatuan Permotoran Melaka , the organiser, that the name of the
competition was Jebat Drift King Challenge 2008,I was determine to
design a course that would be radically different as well as challenging
,as a competition that crowns the winner the title 'Drift King' is
certainly no small order. NEW!
Full Throttle Drift
Competition - MITC, Melaka, 5-7 December 2008 - Sync Optima and
Feinto D were commissioned by Full Throttle to organize the three day
drift session and competition held at the Malacca International Trade
Center car park area, on the 5-7th December. With other attractions such
as B-Boy battles and Audio sound off, the Full Throttle event had
attracted a wide range of spectators for the span of the event.

Malaysian Drift Challenge
Exhibition Round - Sports Arena Cyberjaya, 29 November 2008 - With
Sync Optima and Feinto D joining forces once again, the Exhibition round
of the Malaysian Drift Series in conjunction of the CyberJaya family day
was a roaring success. Top 16 drifters, selected from the last round of
MDC, along with 5 invited drifters were given the chance to go head to
head on the technical course at the Sports Arena parking space that day.
Malaysian Drift Challenge
Round 1 - Speedway Plus Circuit, 8-9 November 2008 - Malaysian Drift
Challenge, was a series plagued with controversies every since its debut
early 2007. Dubious judging, sub standard organizational skills and
prize money and trophy embezzlement were the talk whenever the series
were mentioned. Upon realizing this Comma Motorsport has seek the
assistance of Sync Optima and Feinto-D to help manage and run this
year's two round series
Jebat
Drift Competition - Stadium Hang Jebat, Melaka, 1-2 November 2008 -
After two successful events held at the Hang Jebat Stadium last year,
Sync Optima was called upon again to organise this year's Drift
Competition. Being the first of two scheduled events for this year, this
event had two categories of competition ;Expert and Novice with a total
of 60 over drifters participating.
Port Dickson Drift Getaway Part 5 - Palm Springs Resort Extreme Park,
25-27 Octobver 2008 - Since everyone had so much fun during the last
Getaway, we decided to have the next one during the long Deepavali
weekend. This time around , we had Mike extreme, Cheril, Kit and Blitzin
Silvia to join in the fun too. IAMTHELAW and Barry had even bought a
drift spec'ed KE70 after seeing how much fun we had during the last

Rendezvous 2
Autocross - Genting Highlands, 19 October 2008 -
The
Autocross event for this leg of the Car Club Rendevous were commissioned
to Dennis and Elaine from the MR-S/MR2 club. They had laid out a course,
marked out with cones which is said to be simplier than the previous
event. It was certainly a fun event. Cheaka and I had a ball during the
event...so much so we forgot to take pictures of the event while it was
running.
Formula Drift Singapore,
Drift 101 - Nusajaya Track, Johor Bahru - 4 October 2008 - Formula
Drift Singapore headed by Binter's General Manager, Marcus Lim had
organise a one day drift clinic for twenty lucky Singaporeans. The
clinic was conducted by Sync Optima Drift Academy, along with
Singaporean Formula Drift drifters Ivan Lim and Colin Teo.
GRA 2008, Round 3 - SIC
Car Park PA3 - 7 September 2008 - Grass Racing Autocross is
Malaysia's premier autocross for grassroots racing and they are also the
premier community for autocrossing in Malaysia. This club is formed by
the Khong brothers, Ivan and Ian for the sole purpose of grassroots
racing.
Merdeka Drifter Gathering
2008 - SIC Car Park PA1 - 30-31 August 2008 - In conjunction with
the MME, Feinto-D and Sync Optima had the opportunity to organise a
drift session at the PA1 car park at the Sepang International Circuit.
With a total of 40 over drifters, this drift session which started at
8.30pm had lasted till 3 am the next day!
Maya & Steve's Wedding Dinner - FRIM - 29 August 2008 - Maya Karin
was Cheaka's college mate back in the days, and has been friends every
since. She attended our wedding but when it came to hers we couldn't go
as it was in Italy. Anyway, she had one done in Malaysia, at FRIM as she
is quiet a nature conservative/activist. She even gave out energy saving
bulbs during the reception.
Golden Sun Vogue Supermodel
Search 2008 Grand Final - Golden Sun Club - 27 August 2008 - A bevy of
beautiful , talented and charismatic girls had paraded before us 'to
flaunt their finest attributes' at the Golden Sun Seafood Restaurant in KL
,on the 27th August 2008. Golden Sun pageants has produced some of the
most beautiful and talented models that Malaysia has to offer, most
notably Ms Amber Chia who was Miss Golden Sun 2003 cum renowned
international model. Sync Optima was invited to cover this event which was
also in conjunction with their Annual Suppliers Gathering.
MME & Drift Merdeka session
- KL Midnight Bazaar - 24 Aug 2008 - Being the organisers of the
Drifers Gathering held in conjunction with the MME ,Feinto D and Sync
Optima were asked to do a display and demo during their Road show held at
the KL Midnight Bazaar. With seven car on display, we were hoarded with
hundreds of people curious about the sport of drifting.
Sloggi Art of Humanity -
Sunway Lagoon Theme Park - 23 August 2008 - Held at the Sunway Lagoon
theme park like the previous year, this Sloggi event had a theme called
the Art of Humanity which sounded promising but instead turned out to be a
beauty contest, with the participants donning body paint along with Sloggi
undergarments.
Port Dickson Getaway - PD
Extreme Park - 16-17 August 2008 - Back by popular demand, we had a
two day one night stay at the Port Dickson Extreme Park at Palm Springs
Resort City. Drifting is done on a fun technical track that tends to eat
up tyres when the weather is hot.
KBS Drift Gathering -
Stadium Bukit Jalil - 2-3 August 2008 - In conjunction with the Bulan
Kecergasan Kebangsaan 2008, a drifters gathering was funded by the
Ministry of Sports and youth at the Stadium Bukit Jalil on the 2nd and 3rd
of August 2008. With the total of over 40 drifters participating ,
gathered by Feinto-D and White Apple Management, this two day event was
aimed at congregating and uniting the drifters; in the Kelang Valley at
least There were also Pocket bikes and Footsal events among other events
running concurrently for the span of event, organised by Comma Motorsport
who were incidentally the principle manager of the entire event that
weekend.
Performance Drift by Tengku
Djan - Stadium Bukit Jalil - 20 July 2008 - Fresh from the D1 Tokyo
Drift competiton held in Odaiba Tokyo Japan. Tengku Djan was humble to
share with us his experience and showed us the proper line that should be
taken to on a given course to gain maximum points. Held in a span of two
days, Tengku Djan's drift lesson catered for the beginners for the first
day, where the 'experts' gets to muck about in the track and on the second
day, it was the experts turn to be tutored by the drift king himself.
Kementerian Belia & Sukan Drift Team
Battle 2008 - Stadium Bukit Jalil - 12-13 July 2008 - Located at the
Bukit Jalil on 12-13 July 2008, Kementerian Belia dan Sukan held its
inaugural Team Battle event with tyre manufacturer Goodyear as the main
sponsor. Launched by the Minister of Youth and Sports ,Sync Optima was
called in by event organiser Comma Motorsport, to aid with safety issues ,
track design , event scheduling and competition format and judging for the
two days. White Apple management was also present to aid with the track
management, work force and event coordination which was credited to the
smooth flow of the two day event.
Bukit Jalil Drift Academy
Drift Session - Stadium Bukit Jalil - 6 July 2008 - With the
encouraging response from the last drift session, forumer Rudsdrift and
gang had decide to do another session the following. Anticipating the
'Drifters Traffic' on track, as it is only for one day as oppose to the
two session previously, we decided to go there a bit late into the
session. True enough , arriving at 3.30 pm, most of the drifters had left
but the action was nevertheless just as hot!!
Bukit Jalil Drift Academy -
Stadium Bukit Jalil - 28-29 June 2008 - With Jane starting to drift
again, with a new platform, and me , wanting to just relax for a change, I
thought it was most appropriate for us to join the Bukit Jalil Drift
Academy. So we rounded up forumers and SODA students ryuk1d, Jimmy and

Roxy Summer Splash - Sunway
Lagoon Theme Park - 7 June 2008 - There a fine line between a
'Happening' event and a event that is 'Too Happening'. The Roxy Summer
Splash was a classic example of the latter. Held at the Sunway Lagoon's
Surf Beach on the 7th June 2008, co sponsored with Seventeen Malaysia and
Quiksilver, this event had a Beach Hunk and Beach Babe contest and live
performances from top local acts such as One Buck Short and Pop Shuvit.

Hari Belia Negara - Stadium
Bukit Jalil - 15 May 2008 - Drift Demo Sempena Sambutan Hari Belia
Negara which was held on the 15th May 2008 certainly proved to be an eye
opener, well for me at least.Making their appearence were Team Dunlop with
Sean and Yoong; Team Maxxis with Rudy , Jack and Alex and Team Goodyear
with Johan being their sole representitive With 20 drifters already booked
for this 'demo' , for this National Youth day celebration ,I was suprised
with the level of aggression !!Pictures uploaded.
Formula D Singapore -
Changi Airshow Ground - 27 April 2008 - Marcus Lim from Binter called
asking if I was interested in representing one of the many tire brands
they carried for the Formula D* round in Singapore.After the facade I went
through with a tyre sponsorship here, I was glad to take up the offer and
proudly represented Firestone for the three days that I was there!

Drift Demo, Karnival Rukun
Negara, PISA, Penang - 23-24 February 2008 - Nowadays ,it is difficult
enough to find someone to recite all five of the Rukun Negara ( Nation's
Pledge) let alone know the meaning of it. Upon seeing this, the Government
had decided to do a campaign in a form of a carnival to help promote
public awareness of the Rukun and decided to have a drift demo/taxi ride
to help draw in the crowd at the Penang International Sports Arena. Sync
Optima with the attendance of Drift Ventures and Feinto D were
commissioned to run the event which was held in the parking lot area.

Campus Dori - UKM Bangi -
17 February 2008 - The Campus Doricon is a drift session circuit that
Drift.com does at the universities around the Kelang Valley. As the
sessions are usually very laid back and relaxed, we thought it would be
the perfect opportunity for the members of the Magicdurians to have our
gathering. It was great that all the members were present that day! Here

Super Drift Challenge -
Shah Alam - 9-10 February 2008 - In conjunction with the " Karnival
Permotoran Belia Sempena Kempen Keselamatan Jalanraya 2008 " organised by
Belia Umno, Drift Venture had organised a drift competition at the Shah
Alam parking space on the 9th and 10th of Feburary 2008. A total of 40
drifters had participated on this two day event which had Along and I as
the judges for this competition. Here are photos on the competition day.
